Chicken Soup by Every Nook & Cranny

bone-in chicken drumsticks, carrot, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaf, green peppercorns, rosemary, cayenne pepper, stock, tomato puree, dried pasta shapes or spaghetti, cream

– 6 bone-in chicken drumsticks (skinned if you prefer)
– 1 largecarrot, peeled but left whole
– 2 ribscelery, washed and cut in half
– 1 largeonion, topped and tailed then halved (remove any dirt containing skin)
– 1 clovegarlic, peeled
– 2 bay leaves
– 2 tsp green peppercorns
– 2 tspfresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 tsp dried sage is lovely)
– 1/4 – 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional and to taste)
– 1-2 stock cubes
– 1 tbsp tomato puree
– 1 largecarrot, peeled and finely sliced (about 2 mm thick slices)
– 1 ribof celery, sliced a little thicker than the carrot
– 1 smallcan of sweetcorn (or slice off the kernels from one fresh cob)
– 150 g dried pasta shapes or spaghetti (optional)
– 100 ml single cream (optional)
