– 1 whole head (40 g) garlic (crushed)
– 2 bay leaves
– 1 (212 g) onion (halved)
– 1 teaspoon (6 g) fine salt (for soaked chickpeas) (or for unsoaked chickpeas, use 1 1/2 teaspoon (9 g) fine salt)
– 4 cups (1 L) water or unsalted chicken stock
