– 1 tablespoon butter
– 2 pounds (1 kg) Brussel sprouts, washed, trimmed and cut in half
– Salt and fresh cracked black pepper
– 5 cloves garlic, finely chopped
– 1 1/2 cups (400 ml) vegetable broth
– 3/4 cup cream cheese, at room temperature
– 1/4 cup fresh shredded or grated parmesan cheese
– 5 ounces (150 g) crisp bacon bits (optional)
