– 1 lb Chinese daikon (white radish) (peeled and cut into large chunks)

– 2 cloves garlic (peeled and finelyminced)
– 3 stalks green onion (cut into 3-inch pieces)
– 1 star anise

– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 2 tbsp oyster sauce
– 1/3 cup Chinese rock sugar
– 1 tbsp cornstarch (+ 2 tbsp water)
– Few sprigs of fresh cilantro leaves
– 1 stalk green onion,finely chopped
