– 1-2 tsp Salt
– 1 tsp Pepper
– 3-6 lb Bottom Round Roast (or Chuck roast) cut in half)
– 1 Onion, sliced
– 1 bay Leaf
– 2 cloves Garlic, minced
– 3 sprigs Fresh Thyme (or 1/4 tsp dried)
– 2 cups Beef Broth
– 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
– 1 10.75 oz can French Onion Soup, (condensed)
– French or Hoagie Rolls
– Butter, (for rolls)
– 3 slices per sandwich Provolone Cheese (or Swiss, etc)
