– 1 tbsp canola oil
– kosher salt
– fresh black pepper
– 1 tsp garlic powder
– 3/4 cup red wine (Cabernet preferred)
– 1 tbsp onion powder
– 8 oz beef broth
– 2 bay leaves
– 4 French bread rolls/hoagies
– 4 slices white cheese (Pepper Jack, Provolone, Swiss cheese)
