– 400 g/14 oz of lamb shoulder, visible fat removed and chopped into chunks
– 2 tsp of ghee (or other oil) ? (4 syns)
– 1 onion, quartered and then sliced thinly
– 3 cloves garlic, crushed
– 1 tsp of fresh grated ginger
– 1/2 tsp of turmeric
– 4 green cardamom pods
– 4 cloves
– 1 tsp of chilli powder (add more if you like it really spicy)
– 1 tsp of paprika
– 1 tsp of garam masala
– pinch of cinnamon
– 400 g of fresh tomatoes, skin removed and roughly chopped
– 1 level tablespoon of tomato paste
– 1/2 cup (120 ml) of water
– salt and pepper to season
– freshly chopped Coriander
