Potato Corn Chowder by Chop Secrets

bacon, garlic, onion, chicken broth, potatoes, corn kernels, thyme, heavy cream, flour, cayenne, Salt, pepper, chives


– 4 slices bacon, diced
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 onion, finely diced
– 4 cups chicken broth, warmed
– 1 1/2 lbs red potatoes, unpeeled, cut into a 1? dice
– 16 oz frozen corn kernels
– 2 sprigs fresh thyme (or 1 tsp dried thyme)
– 3/4 cup heavy cream3 tbsp flour
– Pinch of cayenne
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tbsp snipped fresh chives for garnish (optional)
