– 2 slices of GF bacon, diced
– 1 large yellow onion, finely chopped
– 1 celery rib, diced
– 1 medium carrot, diced
– 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped

– 2 tsp. GF dried basil
– 1/4 tsp. GF ground cinnamon

– 2 tsp. pure maple syrup or sweetener of choice

– 2 tsp. Himalayan salt
– 1/3 cup heavy cream
– 16 oz. gluten-free uncooked spaghetti (do not use corn pasta)
– 3 cups GF broth (beef, chicken or mushroom)
– 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese plus some for serving
– Optional garnish; chopped fresh basil, freshly grated Parmesan cheese
