Spicy Sweet and Sour Chicken by Aunt Bee’s Recipes

chicken breast, onion, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, lemon or lime juice, toasted sesame oil, ginger, garlic, black pepper, red pepper flakes, corn starch, water, sesame seeds and green onions

– 2 1/2 pounds FROZEN boneless chicken breast
– 1 medium onion quartered and sliced
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 2 tbsp lemon or lime juice
– 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
– 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
– 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (or more to taste)
– 2 tbsp corn starch
– 2 tbsp cold water
– sesame seeds and green onions for garnish if desired
