– 1 cup onion, finely chopped

– 2 tbsp spring onions (thinly sliced)
– 1.75 cups water (or broth)
– 2 tbsp Tamari (dark soy sauce)
– 1 tbsp rice vinegar
– 1 tbsp sambal olek (chili garlic sauce)
– 2 tbsp ketchup
– 2 tso agave or honey (use agave for Vegan)
– 1 tbsp cornstarch
– 2-3 tbsp tap cold water
